UK retailer Offspring teams up with Vans to produce a new set of Authentic sneakers for the 2010 Summer season. Both kicks take on fleece uppers with white midsoles and blue/red piping. Definitely a nice, lightweight silhouette for the upcoming season. Look for these soon via Offspring. (Hypebeast.com)

San Francisco’s Western Edition Skateboards launches a new signature deck for team rider Brad Johnson, part of the brand’s “El Saturn” series for Spring/Summer 2010. The deck features an intricate frontal graphic in purple/white with the Johnson hit in red. Look for this new release through Western Edition stockists, including FTC.

It was a great weekend. It began Wednesday night, Thursday morning to be more accurate. It was Just before dawn & The walls were finally dried & ready for their respective pieces. Early afternoon we started hanging the 4 pieces Demetrius dropped off. By 4:30 pm half of the space @ 821 Castleton Ave was covered with canvas, plenty of paint & plenty of colors. Later in the evening when everyone retired from the space Emiliana (Nani Castle) would begin her installation. I walked in the room and the entire floor was covered with her work. Wow, kind of reminded me of the floor @ the Art Cypher in Stapleton. Its your canvas Nani, get busy sista! Soon enough the sweet aroma & hiss from the spray cans began to fill the room. Few hours of hammering & drilling Emiliana turned a piece of Castleton Ave into Nani Castletown. The exhibit will be here til mid march. Please come by and check out the wonderful works of two extremely talented Staten Island artist.
