Working with one of the freshest sneaker stores in New York City usually means you should be in attendance for one of the freshest sneaker events in NYC; Sneaker Pimps. This years installation of Sneaker Pimps was even more special since our Staten Island comrad Ghostface Killah was set to bless the stage alongside the Yonkers crew D Block. Together they performed songs from their Wu Block album & some other classics bangers. Mid-way thru the massive set, both Ghostface and Sheek did a respectful rendition to Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” paying respect to the fallen legend. Towards the end of the event, the two legendary stalwarts traded verses back to back from their collective cataloges.
Overall, SneakerPimps never disappoints with the public’s showcase of exclusive sneakers amongst the tri-state. Between the sneaker heat and the stellar performance from Wu-Block to close out the event, many were left with no notion of a 4th quarter, but more with an excitement of overtime. Peep the visuals within the pics, folks. EnjoyPhotos and videos by Oge Erike
