The Nike SB Stefan Janoski Max is switchin’ it up on us once again! This time donning an all black leather upper that gives the shoe a completely different look from what were accustomed to seeing in a Janoski Max. Nike decided to give the silhouette a more rugged look and it looks like it worked judging by the pictures above.
The shoe is constructed of a black leather base with a silver stitched swoosh and a grey tongue tag label. The shoe is also sitting on a grey midsole with black speckles, a look very reminiscent of the newly released Air Jordan 4 “Oreo”. Early reports state that this pair will be a part of a future pack named the “Sewer Series”. We will see if there will be other versions of the Janoski Max in the “Sewer Series” or if Nike decides to use other NB snearkers as part of the pack.
The official name of this shoe is the Nike SB Stefan Janoski Max L “NYC” and just like the name says it is inspired by the streets of New York.
Specifically the inspiration comes from the sewer systems of NYC that divide the dark abyss below and humanity on the surface. Premium Black leather has been draped on the upper of this Janoski Max with an embroidered Metallic Cool Grey Swoosh that gives the shoe a great pop. A custom New York sewer cap emblem has been stamped on the insoles to go along with the theme. Serving as a finishing touch is a speckled midsole that signifies the resilient utility of NYC.
